“Publicity is the very soul of justice, it is the keenest spur to exertion and the surest of all guards against improbity. It keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial – where there is no publicity, there is no justice” – Bentham

My petition seeking livestreaming of the proceedings of the Bombay High Court ,so too, of the courts subordinate to it is listed as Serial no. 5 for hearing before the CJ of the Bombay High Court, today. Litigants suffer injustice often without any remedy because the courts refuse to hear the ordinary litigant and the lawyer who represents him, often lawyers and litigants are ill treated. Live streaming of court proceedings is the surest and most efficacious protection from denial of justice. I appeal to one and all to be present physically in court if possible or join online.

Incidently, even just yesterday a judge of the Bombay High Court denied access to justice even to the parties and lawyers by removing them from the virtual court.
